Catering Sales Coordinator

Plano, TX

The Catering Sales Coordinator will be the key leader of catering sales for the Original ChopShop brand. Reporting to the Brand Manager, they will be responsible for achieving sales goals in all Original ChopShop markets and will be a key player in establishing catering business with the opening of new Shops and markets. Priorities will include prospecting, establishing relationships with new catering clients and generating awareness of Original ChopShop catering in our communities. The Catering Sales Coordinator will be a strong partner to operators by establishing new client relationships and supporting local Shop sales plans. Lastly, this person will oversee large local Shop marketing events and activities to ensure maximum exposure and success. This position is a salaried role, and is eligible for a 10% bonus.

●        Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, marketing, or related field preferred but not required

●        Two years of experience in a customer facing role

●        Strong Word, Excel, Power Point, office equipment and computer skills



A successful Catering Sales Coordinator:

●        Will focus on selling catering within the following markets: social (showers/parties, etc.), corporate meetings/events, pharmaceutical/healthcare, school/church, sports teams, and weddings

●        Seeks and develops intentional and trusting relationships with potential guests

●        Performs sales calls, emails and in-person business visits

●        Keeps an organized spreadsheet of leads and catering contacts

●        Identifies new catering business opportunities to achieve personal and company-wide revenue goals

●        Builds and strengthens relationships with existing and new customers to enable future bookings

●        Listens to guest needs, identifies solutions, and creates custom catering proposals

●        Utilizes sales tools such as LinkedIn,, google maps, etc.

●        Has a flexible schedule; work will be primarily in the office and partially remote/ in the field

●        Targets administrative professionals/executive admins, office managers, pharmaceutical reps, dieticians (sports teams), PTO/PTA hospitality chairs, etc.

●        Attends networking events

●        Answers incoming leads in a timely, efficient, and effective manner

●        Provides guidance/knowledge of the menu, portioning suggestions and quotes for guests inquiring about a catering

●        Holds extensive knowledge of the catering menu and options for any dietary restrictions/preferences

●        Continuously seeks opportunities for new relationships

●        Develops effective catering sales plans and actions, such as tastings, food drops, pop-ups, booking incentives, outreach plans, etc.

●        Understands the overall competitors' strengths and weaknesses and industry trends

●        Communicates with and assists our booked clients through the completion and finalization of their events, ending in event follow-up to ensure guest satisfaction

●        Assists in setting up House Accounts

●        Participates in large catering events to ensure accurate, on-time deliveries and that guest expectations are met

●        Reports directly to the Brand Manager
